The joy of riding and value for money are terms which could describe the new 125 CC Bajaj bike, said DGM Sales Motorcycle business (West Zone) Kamlesh Nankani here on Tuesday. He was speaking to media persons during the launch ceremony of the new bike. He claimed that it is powerful, stylish and will provide best mileage in the 125 cc bike segment.
For the first time the company is claiming 76 kmpl (CMVR) which has been tested under actual riding condition. In the 125 CC segment, it is providing the best power of 11.5 PS and 10.8 NM of torque.Nankani further stated that the customers have accepted the fact that 100 CC -125 CC bikes are mileage bikes without any power and styling but this concept would be changed with the launch of 125 CC Bajaj bike as it is loaded with power, style, torque and mileage. In Madhya Pradesh around 92 per cent of bikes sold are mileage bikes while only 8 per cent sports bikes are sold.
The reason behind the huge difference is styling, power and different characteristics of sports bikes across the segment of different brands but this bike is a combination of power, stylish and at the same time unbelievable mileage, he added. Around 14000 Bajaj bikes are sold in MP and in the 125 CC segment around 1200 Bajaj bikes are sold per month and with the launch of the bike a significant increase in the number is expected in the segment.
