As soon as the Navaratri festival starts, the colour of Garba and Dandiya Raas takes over the country. In the sequence, Navratri festival was celebrated in the LNCT World School on Tuesday.
During Navratri festival celebration at the school campus, the students and the staff presented garba dance. This Garba saw three generations participating, LNCT World School Teachers, children and their parents all were part of this footloose frenzy. And to take it to another level, the participants were all seen in colourful garba costumes.
LNCT Group Chairperson Jai Narayan Chouksey, Vice Chairperson Poonam Chouksey, Director Anupam Chouksey, Managing Director Pujashree Chouksey and LNCT World School Principal graced the gathering with their presence.
LNCT Group Chairperson Jai Narayan Chouksey while talking about the importance of the Garba and Navratri said that one of the measures to pray to Maa Shakti is dance and not only that dancing in the scriptures has been described as a way of meditation. Hence, garba festival was organized in the school to let our Students experience this first hand.
On the other hand, Poojashree Chouksey, Managing Director of LNCT World School, said that earlier garba was used to be the pride of Gujarat only. But since independence, after Gujaratis started moving out of the province, this tradition has reached to other states too, and we are grateful to that. With this only, we were able to understand and enjoy our culture better and this fiesta was our small effort to make the next generation understand our culture better, she added.
