A one day National Workshop on “Research and Publication Ethics” was organised by Department of Electronics Engineering, Medi-Caps University Indore.The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof Sunil.
K. Somani and Dean Engineering D.K. Panda. Objective of the workshop was to present holistic view of dimensions of ethics in research and publication. The eminent speakers for the workshops were Prof K.V. Arya (Professor, ABV-IIITM Gwalior), Ravindra Mukhiya (Principal Scientist, CEERI Pilani), Rishi Sharma (senior Scientist. CEERI Pilani), U.S. Sharma (HOD, Physics, RJIT Tekanpur organized by BSF), A.K. Jain (Associate Professor, NIT Agartala), Pankaj Mishra (Associate Professor, Amity University, Gwalior) and Ms. Divya Gautam (Assistant Professor, Amity University, Gwalior)
The opening remark of the workshop was given by Dean Engineering D.K. Panda. He emphasized on the importance of ethics in contemporary research. The keynote speaker Prof K.V. Arya discussed about the aspects of effective reading and analysis of research articles. The workshop was continued by other eminent speakers, they discussed the research process and integrity, publication misconduct and other relevant issues.
The importance and utility of the topic was presented in a very effective manner by the speaker of the workshop. It provided an opportunity to the participants to expand their horizon in the concerned realm. More than 150 research scholars and faculties were attended the workshop. The Convener of workshop was Akanksha Vyas and Vote of thanks was given by Workshop Coordinator Sucheta Dalal.
