The first day of the 15-day Congress’ ‘Narela Bachao Yatra’ was started from Gondipura by former State Congress general secretary Mahendra Singh Chouhan to reveal rampant hooliganism in the constituency area in Narela constituency.
Targeting state minister and MlA of Narela constituency, Singh said that those who were assigned development and growth failed to deliver which has lead to the suffering of the residents. The yatra started after performing Puja at Shankar Mandir near Asharam Square. The long pending construction work of community hall in Gondipura was targeted by Singh and he raised question regarding the long delay and negligence towards community hall which would be helpful for the locals.
Repair work of road from Shriram Mandir to Palasi has been pending for long and no attention is paid for the repair work which creates problems for commuters. The condition of crematorium at Karond is in bad shape and requires renovation but nothing has been done and when the renovation work would be done is not known. The burial ground has been encroached illegally and waiting for action for clearing encroachment. For years the nullah and road construction in Fiza colony are pending and when the residents would be provided with these constructions.
