Name 10 ministers accused of graft, Ajay tells Chouhan

SR

Opposition leader Ajay Singh on Tuesday urged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to disclose the names of 10 State Ministers about whom lokayukta had sought information from the Government following complaints of corruption.

Madhya Pradesh lokayukta Justice (retd) PP Naolekar had alleged in a newspaper interview that the State Government was not making available the documents pertaining to the complaints of corruption that he received against the Ministers. “I am thankful to the lokayukta that he braved to come out with truth against Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Ministers,” he said.

“Since Chouhan always maintained that he will not tolerate corruption in Madhya Pradesh, he must disclose the names of the corrupt Ministers to the lokayukta,” Ajay Singh said in a statement. The Chief Minister should also make available whatever information lokayukta required in this connection, he added.

“The manner in which corruption has become widespread during the BJP rule is something which was never seen before. Development may not have taken place under Chouhan’s rule, but there is no doubt that corruption has increased four times in the last 10 years,” Singh said. Singh advised Chouhan that instead of tweeting his opinions on the issues related to Pakistan and China, he should come out with his clarification on the serious allegations levelled by the lokayukta.
