In a gruesome incident, mutilated body of a businessman was found from MR 10 railway over-bridge here on Thursday morning. The deceased identified as lalit Chowkse, a resident of Gauri apparently committed suicide by jumping before a running train on the railway track near MR 10 rail over bridge.
Soon after being informed about the matter, Banganga police reached the incident site and recovered the body parts of the deceased strewn near the railway track. After collecting the body parts in a bag the same were sent to MY hospital for postmortem.
Ramprasad, father of the deceased informed that before committing suicide, his son had called up his wife Radha over phone informing her that he apparently peeved over behavior and torture of his in-laws, was going to commit suicide apparently and asking her to collect his body after his death. The deceased’s father said that even after listening to suicide threat of his son, she did not take any initiative to prevent him from committing suicide and by the time she went to the incident site, body parts of his son had already been sent to hospital for postmortem.
The deceased’s brother Abhinandan Chowkse informed that his brother apparently under pressure from his in-laws had borrowed Rs48 lakh from the market and gave this amount to his in-laws for opening a jewellery showroom.
He said for the past sometime the lenders had been exerting pressure on his brother for return of the money but his in-laws did not return the money and he had to mortgage his house. This caused him deep mental anguish, prompting him to commit suicide, Abhinandan said demanding stern action against in-laws of his brother.
