India produces about 44% of domestic edible oil consumption in which, mustard has the highest share of 39% followed by soybean (24%), groundnut (7%) etc. Mustard farming has been growing in popularity in Madhya Pradesh and the last year has seen Madhya Pradesh contribute significantly to the mustard production in India. Mustard is a key crop in helping India fulfil its edible oil needs and this is a big factor in attracting a large number of farmers to grow it in the state.
A mustard farmer named Rama Kishan significantly increased his mustard yield.
Sharing his experience, Rama Kishan said, "I received a bumper output of 400kg output per bhiga from my mustard field with the help of timely advisory and high-quality products from AgroStar. I used AgroStar Nion mustard seed variety which gave me 18-20 mustard balls with big size of branches compared to other varieties. Along with this, I used products like Bhumika and Sulphur 90G which helped my mustard crop become healthy."
Today, AgroStar has more than 1200 stores across Madhya Pradesh.
