MPYC protests Masarat release

Staff Reporter

The Central Government and the Jammu and Kashmir Government have succumbed to separatists and terrorists, claimed president of Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress Kunal Choudhary while speaking to mediapersons during a protest against release of Masarat Alam by Jammu and Kashmir Government.

With the release of the Masarat, intentions of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and BJP Government have been exposed, he added. Silent protest was registered by Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress against the release of the separatist leader Massarat Alam.

Youth Congress workers staged protest by sitting near statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Old State Assembly premises with their mouths covered with black bands. The protestors were holding placards carrying slogans against Central Government led by Narendra Modi and PDP Government. After the silent protest, Choudhary said Masarat Alam is serious criminal charged with treason, inciting and planning war.

He said that before coming to power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used to appeal for peace and wanted to make peace and harmony in the country, but surprisingly, it is possible to establish peace by releasing serious offender like Masarat Alam and Modi should provide explanation to the people of the country that the release of Massarat is nationalism.

From the current conditions of the State, it could be inferred that PDP and BJP have succumbed to the agents of terrorism, which resulted into the infiltration of neighbours, said Choudhary.

The Youth Congress president has strongly condemned the release of leader of Kashmir separatists and warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jammu Kashmir Government to restrain from sectionalism.
