Suspended former DIG RK Shivhare was sent to two days’ police custody by the court on Tuesday. Shivhare, who surrendered on Monday, is one of the accused in the infamous MPPEB scam. He is accused of malpractice in Pre-PG 2012 examinations and Subedar/Sub Inspector/Platoon Commander Examinations conducted by the MPPEB.
On Tuesday Shivhare was produced in the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Pankaj Maheswari by the STF and requested for the police custody of Shivhare which was accepted by the court. later Shivhare was sent in police custody of two days.
After the surrender on Monday Shivhare was questioned for the whole day but was arrested later in the evening.
The agency would be grilling Shivhare to obtain important information regarding the examination scams conducted of MPPEB.
Shivhare is charged with facilitating clearing of Pre-PG 2012 examinations for his daughter Neha and son-in-law Ajay Anand in collusion with MPPEB officials. He had also had facilitated clearing of candidates in Subedar/Sub Inspector/Platoon Commander Examinations conducted by MPPEB.
After it was found that Shivhare’s daughter and son-in-law have used unfair means to clear the Pre-PG they acted swiftly and appeared at the STF office and produced the anticipatory bail documents but Shivhare went absconding and appeared on Monday at the STF office to surrender.
