Furious over the Uri terror attack, the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) burnt effigies of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday and demanded strong action by the Modi Government.
Congress workers led by Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Dipti Singh burnt the effigies of the neighboring nation’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan President, Pakistan Army Chief and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to protest the Uri attack.
Dipti Singh warned Pakistan against supporting terror activities, while accusing the Modi Government of being liberal on the issues. “These attacks clearly demonstrate that Pakistan is in no mood for peace with India. Earlier there was an attack on the Pathankot airbase and now in Uri, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi still remains silent and reluctant to take appropriate action,” she added
Dipti Singh said, “The way Pakistani government supports terrorist forces and time and again sponsors veiled attacks on Indian forces have exposed its intents once again in Uri and the opposition without doing politics over the issue standby with the government. Now, PM Modi should stop writing love letters to Pakistan as the time for giving befitting reply to Pakistan has come.”
Dipti further said that the whole country and the family members of martyr’s are looking towards the Modi government for giving befitting reply to Pakistan. We burnt the effigy of Pakistan PM, President and Army chief here to vent anger against the terror strike in that 20 army personals have been killed now, she added.
She said that we burnt effigy of PM Modi because despite knowing growing angst against Pakistan in the country he is giving only assurances and just condemning Pakistan at the place of fulfilling his promise that he made during campaigning in 2014.
