Staff Reporter

State Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made the State a grazing ground for Central Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and has given them free hand to loot the State in order to keep him secured.

leader of opposition in Madhya Pradesh assembly Ajay Singh while registering strong apprehensions over grabbing of Government school land by union minister Smriti Irani  in a statement here on Thursday said, “CM Chouhan has made the State a grazing ground of BJP leaders of New Delhi, these leaders are taking advantage of Chouhan’s political helplessness. This is shameful that the union minister Smriti Irani not only bought land in Umaria for commercial use but she also grabbed the adjoining Government school land.”

Singh further said that Congress party has strong objection over this adding that CM Chouhan is busy in saving his skin from infamous Vyapam scam is obliging those BJP leaders who are near to the Prime Minister and for this he is providing them Government help keeping aside all rules and regulations. In this order, looking at the political stature of Irani not only the land was allotted to her but was given free hand to grab government school land, he added.

He said that on the one hand chief minister is claiming of golden MP and developed MP and on the other hand he is giving free hand to loot the state to his masters.

Notably, Smriti Irani’s husband Zubin Irani who owns 1.025 hecatre of land in village Bijhariya of Umaria district encroached the land of adjoining government school by doing iron fencing over it. The Principal of the school made complaint with the Umaria collector but no action was taken over that.
