MP Cong terms it year of failures

Staff Reporter

The State Congress would observe May 26, the completion of one year of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government in office as ‘anti-farmer and anti-people day.’

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Arun Yadav has issued instructions to all the district units of the party in this regard, the district units have been told to compulsorily follow the instructions, informed chief spokes person of the MPCC KK Mishra in a statement here on Sunday.

Mishra said that Yadav terming the one year rule of the Modi-led NDA Government as a year of failures instructed all the organisational districts of the State to observe May 26 as ‘anti-farmer and anti-people day.’

Mishra said that in its first year of rule Modi Government seems flat. “This Government came to power on promising that it would brought back black money in 100 days, control dearness in 100 days, would abolish Article 370, implement common civil code, construct Ram temple at Ayodhya, give befitting reply to enemies at borders and many others, but it has completely failed on all fronts,” Mishra said.

Mishra further said that Modi Government has completed one year in office but it seems that these serious and important promises done by it are going to evaporate. Contrary to the promises made the increasing dearness has made life of the common man, farmers and poor miserable. And by increasing the rates of diesel and petrol the Modi government has further burdened the common man and families, Mishra added.

He said that despite 60 per cent fall in raw oil prices in international market Modi Government passed less than 20 per cent benefits to the people. During the past year on 746 occasions ceasefire treaty was violated on our borders and over 500 Jawans have been martyred. The economy is in its worst shape, industrial production has come down by 4.2 per cent while the consumer products production has come down by 18.6 per cent, he added.

He said that the Ministers of the Modi Government are publicising that no corruption took place during the last one year, whereas the fact is that the agencies like CVC, ED, CIC and lokpal that exposes corruption are cleverly closed by this anti-people Government. The CAG report has clearly mentioned that the Modi government in order to benefit the select industrial houses damaged the Government treasury to the tune of one thousand crore rupees, he added.
