Chief Electoral Officer VL Kantha Rao has informed that in order to ensure law and order, 29,083 non-bailable warrants have been issued from October 6 to November 3, 2018 since the model code of conduct has come into effect in the state. Along with this, 2,740 illegal firearms have been confiscated and 2,52,384 firearms have been deposited in the police station in this period.
Under the property defacement, 15,83,686 cases of property defacement have been registered and action has been taken against 15,31,412 cases.
Under the government property defacement, 12,19,632 cases have been registered and action has been taken in 11,86,946 cases. Similarly, 3,64,054 cases of private property defacement have been registered and action has been taken against 3,44, 466 cases. A total of 10,106 cases of misuse of vehicles have been registered during this period.
