A class X student who had gone missing on November 7 was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the lower lake at Khatlapura under Jehangirabad police station area on Wednesday.
According to the police, in the morning on Wednesday body of a youth was spotted by the locals who informed the police. Subsequently, a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The deceased was identified as Pankaj Malviya (16) of Berkhedi.
SHO of Jehangirabad Ghansyam Dubey said that the reason of death could be ascertained at the moment and would be investigated. The deceased left home for purchasing some goods and never returned. A missing complaint was lodged by the family members on November 7.
Meanwhile, a 15-year-old youth committed suicide on Wednesday by hanging from a tree near Gandhi Nagar police station.
According to the police, a youth was found hanging in the early morning hours on Wednesday and after spotting the body police were informed. On the receipt of the information a police team reached and started investigation. In the initial investigation deceased was identified as Pradeep Sahu of Arjun Ward in Gandhi Nagar.
Police said that the deceased used to work as vegetable seller. The statements of the family members have to be recorded which could help in the revelation of the reason behind the death.
At around 6 am, the police received information of a youth hanging from the tree. Reason behind the death remains unknown and would be investigated claimed the police. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
