Miscreants targeted a house at Shastri Nagar and escaped with electric goods worth Rs 50,000 on Sunday; TT Nagar police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Mantganj Dwivedi along with his family attended an event and when he returned valuables were found missing and a complaint was lodged by the victim with the TT Nagar police.
In the complaint stated that they left the house to attend an event on July 8 and when returned in the evening on Sunday valuables were found burgled.
The victim claimed that an AC board, Copper wire, fans and air cooler were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 50000.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of burglary against unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
In the burglary the electrical goods were targeted and the other valuables were not disturbed. The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewelry were found burgled.
Police suspect that miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the family. The CCTV cameras of the area and nearby cameras have been checked and to establish the identity of the miscreants has been started as investigation is on.
