The look out of an individual towards the imagery he creates in different situations of life and differentiating between the reality and the dream was showcased through a play.

The play Map of Happiness was staged here on Friday, at Shaheed Bhavan Auditorium, marked the conclusion of a three day theatre fest ‘Vibha Mishra Smiriti Natya Samaroh-2014’ being organised by Trikarshi Group. Director Kanha Ji Rao Bawre gave an enchanting presentation of the play. Written by Jitendra Suman, the play was performed by the artists of Trikarshi Theatre Group, Bhopal.

While talking about the play, Jitendra said, “Well, sometimes it becomes hard for an individual to differentiate between the reality and dream. Sometimes what seems may not be real and sometimes what is in a dream may come true. People of different perspectives draw different illusions about the truth and imagery. This play is all about an individual who finds himself trapped between the illusion of reality and dream.” Further this play also highlights on the human nature trait of being sad about everything he gets in life. The unsatisfactory reactions and emotions always make a person feel low because of which he can never reach his goal, as he will never be satisfied with whatever he has. So it is important for a person to judge his blessings by having a look at the person who does not owe anything, he added.

The play begins with introducing the protagonist of the play sitting on a railway platform waiting for his train to arrive. At the railway platform, this man meets five different characters who in turn make his realize the different colours of life. While meeting all the five characters this man realizes the meaning of love, hate, relationships and many other essentials of life.

The audiences enjoyed the show whole heartedly and not only the matured acting skills of the artists but the light design and stage craft also added zest in the play.
