Ashoka Garden police have booked a miscreant who attacked his 33-year-old wife with acid at Prabhat Square on August 2; the victim reported the incident after getting treatment from hospital for six days.
The accused, Shiva Choudhary, attacked the victim and poured a bottle filled with acid injuring her badly. The victim was hospitalized and got treatment for the past six days during which the accused continuously threatened her to keep mum and not to report the incident
In the evening on Monday the victim approached Ashoka Garden police and lodged a complaint against the accused.
The victim in her complaint stated that she became friends with Shiva over facebook and they started to chat. Last year they married against their parents’ will and lived at different places in Agra, Fatehpur and other places.
During their stay they started to have fights and would demand money from her house and after which she returned to Bhopal.
The accused used to call her but she refused to return. On August 2 the accused came to Bhopal and asked her to meet but the victim was not willing to meet and agreed to meet late in the evening and when she met him the accused during the fight poured acid over the victim injuring her back, hand and neck.
Police have started an investigation in the case. Victim is not aware of the residence of the accused as she met her over facebook, lived with him at different places and never visited his house.
