A 50-year-old man succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital on Thursday; the deceased got injured at his house at Mochipura under Mangalwara police station area.
According to the police, the deceased Rajesh Jathav sustained burn injuries at his house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to Hamidia hospital where he died.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries while he was alone at his house. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The reason of the fire could not be ascertained and would be investigated. The condition of the deceased deteriorated after he sustained burn injuries as he was suffering from illness for the past couple of days.
Meanwhile, a man was found dead near railway tracks at Chetak Bridge in the night on Thursday; man committed suicide or it was an accident is under investigation.
Police were informed after a man was found dead at railway tracks in the night on Thursday and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
In the initial investigation police have not found any thing which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased.
