Suspecting illicit relationship a 28-year-old married woman was allegedly strangulated to death by her husband at JP Nagar under Gautam Nagar police station area on Monday.
The deceased identified as Preeti Parihar was found dead at her house in the afternoon by her son Shubham while her husband Roop Singh remained missing.
At around 12 noon Shubham found his mother in an unconscious state and rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
CSP Hanumanganj Gladwin Edward said that Preeti was murdered or not could not be ascertained at the moment as the post mortem would be conducted on Tuesday. Her husband was involved in the incident would be investigated.
Meanwhile, in another incident of murder a 15-year-old youth died of injured after he was engaged in a fight with the accused near PGBT College under Gautam Nagar police station area later in the night on Sunday.
SHO Gautam Nagar police Yuvraj Singh Chouhan said that case of murder has been registered. The deceased sustained injuries in his head which lead to his death. Arrest of the accused would be done.
