A case of sexual assault was registered by Karera police against a Dhar based youth who sexually assaulted a 26-year-old girl of Karondkala. The victim came into contact with accused Shubhim Kumar Gautam after she picked a call which was made by the accused by mistake and which developed into friendship and later they developed relationship but the accused refused to marry the victim. In her complaint the victim stated that the accused used to meet her at his brother’s house in Dindori and they also used to meet in Gwalior where she was sexually assaulted in the name of marring her and later he refused to marry her when the victim asked the accused for marriage. After the accused refused to marry she approached his family members who denied the marriage and failing to get married to the accused and been sexually exploited the victim threaten the accused of complaining with police. Afraid of the threatening accused switched off his mobile phone. The victim is pursuing BSc nursing and used to live at a rented apartment in Indore. The accused came to meet her in Indore where he proposed her and in the name of marriage she was sexually exploited. The two lived in a rented apartment in Indore. The accused is a lawyer in Karera. On Wednesday the victim went to accused’s house for marriage but the accused escaped the house while the family members refused for the marriage. The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
