Kolar police have booked a miscreant for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old girl at a farm house at Gondipura on July 20; a complaint was lodged with the police on Saturday.
Police said that the accused Ajay Malivya held the victim captive and sexually assaulted her during the day on Friday.
The victim in her complaint stated that she was sexually assaulted by the accused who came to the farm house on the pretext of searching room on rent but when she accompanied her to a room which was to be provided on rent accused held her captive and sexually assaulted her.
The In-charge of Kolar police station SI BS Thakur said that the victim was alone at the time of the incident as her mother was not present at the farm house which the family takes care of. The accused used to work as security guard and details of the accused has been searched which would help in tracing him. During the investigation no crime record of the accused has been found, he added. After the preliminary investigation the police found registered a case under sections 376, 342 and 506 of the IPC and started further investigation.
Based on the details police have started search for the accused who is a resident of the same village. Police said that search has been intensified to nab the accused.
The mother of the victim works at the farm house and takes care of the farm house. There was room on rent at the farm house which the accused came to check.
