Mahendra Chouhan takes dig at Sarang for power shortage

SR

Congress leader Mahendra Singh Chouhan has alleged that the whole State is facing acute power shortage including the Narela assembly segment of Bhopal, but this scarcity could not be experienced in the 74 bungalow residence of BJP MlA from Narela Vishwash Sarang.

Chouhan claimed that the State capital along with the Narela constituency area is facing frequent power cuts but the MlA is unaware of the problems faced by the residents of his constituency, while in the ongoing religious procession by Kanakeshwari Devi, the lights used for illumination were on till 12 noon.

Supporting his allegations, Chouhan claimed that to provide uninterrupted 24 hours power supply under the Atal Jyoti Yojana, the BJP led State Government is purchasing electricity at a higher rate but still it is not able to maintain continuous supply of power in the State capital.

Eyeing the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections the State Government is spending huge amounts on purchasing electricity at a higher rate. The State Government is trying to lure the voters by promising 24 hours of power supply through its scheme, he alleged.

On the contrary, Chouhan alleged that the public representatives representing BJP are consuming electricity extravagantly, contributing in the augmentation of the power crisis.

Sarang has organised a religious procession but still under the guidance of such a pious personality, Sarang is not able to exhibit a good conduct, Chouhan said.
