A 35-year-old machine operator died after being hit by a chain pulley at Sigma Heavy Engineering Industries Bhopal Pvt ltd in Govindpura industrial area on Monday.
According to the police Pritam Singh was hit by chain pulley in the afternoon at Sigma Heavy Engineering Industries Bhopal Pvt ltd on Monday and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died later.
Investigating Officer SI Shahwaz Khan said that the deceased used to work as machine operator and was hit by a chain pulley which was meant for shifting heavy metal jobs broke in the afternoon while shifting a metal job.
The labour was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Incident took place around 2 pm. He hailed from Sironj and used to live in a rented apartment.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation into the matter.
The victim was rushed to RK hospital where he died during treatment. The internal injuries and profuse bleeding caused his death as the deceased was not equipped to handle accident inside the factory.
