About two years back, the Lokayukta had received a complaint about Sanjay Chowdhary having disproportionate assets. After investigation, a case was registered against Sanjay and his mother-in-law Premlata Pancholi.
The complaint also gave details of several properties belonging to Chowdhary. Sanjay Chowdhary retired about a year ago and lives in Bhopal. Her mother-in-law was a lecturer and after her retirement from Sagar, she also lives in Bhopal.
According to the information, DSP Praveen Singh Baghel's team was conducting a confidential investigation on the instructions of the headquarters. After completion of the investigation, a case was registered against Sanjay Chowdhary and his mother-in-law Premlata Pancholi under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Amendment Act.
The complaint also gave details of several properties belonging to Chowdhary. It was shown that in all the properties, the property was said to be taken in the name of Sanjay Chaudhary's mother-in-law or with the financial help given by his mother-in-law. Maximum number of properties were in Indore, on the basis of which the investigation was done.
Information was given by the complainant about having one plot, two houses and one flat in Indore. Along with this, a plot in Gwalior and many houses, plots and flats in Bhopal and Pune have been mentioned in the complaint. Lokayukta DSP investigated the complaint. Case was registered against Sanjay Chaudhary and his mother-in-law for further investigation.
