SC and ST Welfare Minister Gyan Singh has said that leadership development camp will be helpful to students in brightening their future. The Government intends to enhance intellectual capacity of children through these camps. Singh stated this while concluding the camp on Wednesday. The camp for meritorious SC/ST students having passed class X exam in first division was held from January 23.
Through the camp, the participants met and obtained guidance from the Governor, departmental Ministers, the Chief Secretary, DGP, departmental Principal Secretary, Commissioner etc. As many as 200 students took training during the camp including 96 scheduled castes, 86 tribal and 18 students belonging to primitive tribes.
Career counseling was imparted to students by subject experts. They also gave replies to students’ queries. The students were provided books related to leadership development and citations. The campers were taken on the tour of historic place Sanchi, Police Headquarters and Vidhan Sabha. They also enjoyed ride of cruise in Upper lake, visited DB Mall and other must-see places at Bhopal. The students also enjoyed function of Republic Day and colourful lokrang programme at Ravindra Bhavan.
