It was rightly said that one who is helpless, almighty is always with him. A young widow Vidya earns her bread and butter by being engaged in domestic services in nearby houses.
She lives with her two daughters in a shanty in a slum area of Sant Hirdaram Nagar. Her husband Ramesh Kishnani was expired long ago. Vidya is ailing from a stone present in her uretor obstructing normal urinary flow. Size of the stone was also gradually increasing. later, she approached the Free Urology camp held at Sewa Sadan Eye hospital and got medically examined.
Eminent Urologist Dr Jitendra Amlani of Rajkot told her that this obstruction is raising the pressure of urine on her kidney. This may cause adverse effect on the normal functioning of kidney also. So it was decided by the surgeon that her stone should immediately be removed by performing surgery. But her haemoglobin was not sufficient.
Her blood group is also rarest amongst rare that is AB negative. Volunteers of Sewa Sadan tried to get the blood of that group from all Government and private blood banks but it all went in vain. Non availability of blood also caused troubles for surgeons. At last it was decided to send this woman back to her home on the strength of almighty.
later, the urologist decided to perform surgery on her with laparoscopic method. This procedure does not require surgical operation and there is least possibility of bleeding. After the successful surgery, Vidya is now quite healthy and happy.
