The noted Kathak maestro of the city Aparna Chaturvedi will be performing in city on Thursday. A classical dance programme ‘Shiv Vandana’ will be organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) here on Thursday.
The renowned Kathak dancer Aparna will give a mesmerizing performance at Regional Science Centre.
Notably, Chaturvedi has performed at various dance festivals.
Aparna hailing from Bhopal is noted Kathak dancer for her innovation and improvisation in traditional Kathak technique.
Rhythmic understanding, ability to extemporize with speedy rhythms and preserving pure Kathak classical style are some of her qualities. Experimenting with classical Kathak, she has evolved a refined, sophisticated style in pure classical form, based on fast speeds, swift turns, mind thrilling footwork, delicacy of movements and impressive expressions.
