Focusing on the Hindi literature a four-day literature programme ‘Katha Prasang’ is being organised at Bharat Bhavan. The programme was inaugurated on Wednesday with the lecture of a noted writer Ravindra Kalia.
The Katha Prasang is being organised under the Vagarth centre of Hindi poetry and literature. On the second day of the festival, here on Thursday the event was held in three sections.
Noted Hindi story writers put their view points to the fore on the topic — ‘The place of the legends in Hindi Story writing.’ Hindi story writers like Akhilesh, Krishna Mohan and Avdhesh Mishra spoke about legendary figures and their importance in the stories and making them interesting. Ravindra Kalia also highlighted major points under the topic.
In the second session of the programme, story writers like Jyotsna Milan, Rajendra Dani, Urmila Shirish and Bhalchnadra Joshi read out their stories before the listeners. The session began with the storytelling of Urmila Shirirsh, where she read out the story ‘Chehre’.
The story was all about people behaving differently at different places. It narrates about the situations where people easily change their actions and manners accordingly. The programme was followed by the story of Rajendra Dani ‘Bhulne ka rastaa’ and concluded with the story ‘Nadi ke Tehkhane me’ by Bhalchandra Joshi. The last session of the programme featured Chitra Mudgal, Mamta Kalia, Manzoor Ehtesham and Hari Bhatnagar. While addressing the last session Manzoor Ehtesham read out his story ‘Chanda’.
The listeners enjoyed listening to the stories by the authors itself. The simple and charming writing style of the authors spell-bounded the audiences at Antrang Hall.
