In another innovative measure, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has asked his Cabinet colleagues to remain present at the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office and meet the common people.

In a letter to the ministers, the Chief Minister has asked them to remain present at the PCC office, whenever they are in Bhopal. To begin with, Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh would be in the PCC and listened to the problems of the party workers on January 25. In the letter, it has also been pointed out that whenever they visit districts of their in-charge, they should visit the district Congress office and meet party workers. The Chief Minister also expected the ministers to invite local MLAs at the government programmes, whether foundation laying ceremonies or any other development works, in different districts.

Factually, the letter was written on January 10, but since then the ministers were busy in their different engagements and nobody could implement it.

However, no the ministers have decided to work at PCC too from now on. Priyavrat Singh has intimated the PCC headquarters about his availability on January 25. Party sources said that this convention was started by former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, during his tenure as chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. This started in 1993 and continued till 1998. Soon after assuming office, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has come out with innovations to make a different image of his government among the public.
