Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan said that as soon as the Model Code of Conduct comes into effect from October 9 in the state regarding the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023, action is being taken inside 391 inter-state borders and districts by a joint team of the Flying Squad (FST) and the police formed in the districts to conduct a free and fair election process.
Between October 9 and 19, the joint team has taken action worth more than Rs 81 crore 98 lakh 5 thousand 826.
Till October 19, the joint team seized Rs 8 crore 65 lakh 64 thousand 290 in cash, 940174.738 litlres of illicit liquor worth Rs 17 crore 29 lakh 90 thousand 980. Precious metals/jewellery worth Rs 20 crore 77 lakh 98 thousand 378, narcotics worth Rs 4 crore 36 lakh 65 thousand 378 and other materials worth Rs 30 crore 87 lakh 86 thousand 800 have been seized.
