Noted Bollywood director Prakash Jha is mulling to make a movie on the infamous Vyavsayik Pathyakram Pthyakram Pravesh Pariksha (VYAPAM) scam. While talking to media persons here on Thursday, to a query, he said, “First I have to study the case, what it is all about, what is its background. Of course I have been reading and hearing a lot about it. But it takes years for me to complete one script so I cannot commit on making a movie on this issue. But I will surely study it and then decide when and how to work on it.”
Earlier, talking about his on-shoot movie ‘Gangaajal 2’, Jha stated that his movie is about the real contemporary dilemmas which are faced by the Indian police department. Jha is shooting his upcoming flick Gangaajal 2 in Bhopal. The movie features Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Jha and Rahul Bhatt as the protagonists of the movie. Other artists include Manav Kaul, Murli Sharma and others.
The entire cast of the movie had a candid interaction with the media persons here on Thursday. While interacting with the media persons the star cast shared their experiences of shooting in Bhopal. Also the protagonists’ of the movie talked about their role and movie. Regarding his movie, Jha further said the movie is about the incidents that happen in reality with the police department.
The movie also features that how the society and the department reacts when a female police officer enters the department. On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra says, “I am playing a character of a police officer for the first time in a uniform. This role has been very challenging for me. All I can say about my character is that I enjoyed doing it a lot.”
Further Rahul Bhatt added, “My role is about a career oriented young man who leaves a job for millions he is doing in US just for the sake of the society. He leaves all the luxuries and come to the town to help the farmers.” The cast of the movie will be staying in Bhopal for few more days. The cast informed that only indoor shoot is left.
Murli Sharma is playing the character of Munna Mardani. It is a negative role and how it spreads corruption it is all about that. The other actors quoted that they loved shooting in Bhopal as they have never experienced such atmosphere where ever they have shot. Prakash Jha to it added saying, “This is my seventh film in a row in Bhopal. All I can say that I am thankful to the people here as they have given me the memories I can never forget.”
