Gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh were burgled from Sagar lake View home under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Wednesday.
According to the police the victim Someshwar Rai along with his family had gone to Indore and when he returned the valuables were found burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the police and in his complaint the victim stated that on April 1 he had gone to Indore and when he returned late in the night on Wednesday the locks of the door were found broken and on entering the house valuables were found burgled.
The gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh were found burgled claimed the victim.
The victim owns a bottling unit and has a house in Indore where he had gone for Navratri and on the completion of the festival when he returned the house was found ransacked.
The CCTV cameras are installed in the neighbor which would be searched in the further investigation. The CCTV cameras would help in developing the identity of the miscreants.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
