In view of the recent incidents of patients’ relatives going berserk alleging doctors’ careless attitude as the reason behind death of the patient, the JA hospital management has issued a warning to the relatives and attendants of the patients by pasting posters in the hospital premises.
The poster reads, “If your patient is admitted in any ward of JA hospital and you become agitated due to carelessness of the doctors, you cannot take law in your hand in reaction. Your action would be recorded in the CCTV cameras and if you are found guilty FIR would be registered against you.”
In order to check the violent incident in JAH, nearly 50 CCTV cameras have been installed in ICU, Trauma centre, labour room and neurology department. After the next budget, 100 CCTV cameras would be installed to cover all the departments of JAH.
JUDA president Dr Girish Chaturvedi said that we have been demanding installation of CCTV cameras in JAH premises for years. We welcome the decision of the management and would check violent incidents in the hospital.
GRMC Dean Dr G S Patel said that the decision to install CCTV cameras in the JA hospital has been taken in view of the clashes between the family members of the patients and doctors.
