After six months, a meeting was organised to find ways to uplift tourism and to protect the monuments. Most of the responsible officers have not attended the meeting and Gwalior collector has called the concerned officers on the phone to attend the meeting whereas some of the officers didn’t receive the call.
Gwalior collector Sanjay Goyal has discussed about the Municipal Corporation work with Municipal Commissioner Anay Diwedi and said those employees who are not serious and irresponsible for their duties should be suspended. Collector Goyal has deep concern about the absent officers and further instructed Additional Collector to send the DO to the superiors. On the issue of Gujari Mahal Museum plantation work was done and maintenance of Moti Mahal work is in progress. During meeting one member has raised the issue of encroachment by Gurudwara administration at Scindia School but it was deny by other members.
Collector Goyal was annoyed about the proceedings of previous meeting and strictly said to Municipal Commissioner to suspend irresponsible officers.
Officers of Archaeological Survey of India have not attended the meeting for which DO should be sent to DG Demarcation of monuments were not done for which Tehsilders have called for explanation. In the meeting discussion was made on stoppage of tempo at Kila Gate and, issue of permit, renovation of fort wall etc.
