A sum of `51,750 was withdrawn from treasury, illegally with the consent of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Woman and Child Development Department Sanjeev Khemaria, who was away for training in Bhopal.

When The Pioneer contacted Woman and Child Development Officer Mamata Chaturvedi, she declined to comment over the issue saying she would talk on the matter the next day.

Official sources said that the CDPO was relieved from office to attend Basic Training Programme in Bhopal during which the withdrawal was made by making bills during his stay in Bhopal.

Khemaria, posted with Woman and Child Development Departmnet was relieved vide letter number ICDS/ Training/2454/16-17 by the department.  Khemaria was relieved for the period June 27 to July 22 from the office to attend the training programme in Bhopal but during his relieving period, cash was withdrawn by signing bill vouchers.

The withdrawal was done by providing two unfilled bill vouchers on his mail and he filled the bill vouchers by taking print out of the same and sent the filled bill vouchers where clerk Wahid Khan in Shivpuri office took print out and signed over the signature of Khemaria in the scanned copy of bill vouchers and withdrew the cash from district treasury and payment through withdrawal was shown.

The district treasury remained unaware that the person having signed the bill vouchers is not present in Shivpuri and had provided the bill vouchers made in Bhopal. Two withdrawals have been done one was of `12000 and the other one was of `39750.

Official sources claimed that the withdrawal was done without providing to the District Project Officer (DPO) and nobody was assigned with the responsibility of Khemaria. The cash was withdrawn flouting the rules, they added.
