By 2020 internet advertisement would grow to Rs 9,700 crore, according to a study, said Trust and Safety Manager of Google Snigdha Bhardwaj during a Google search convention in the city held on Monday.
Bhardwaj said that there is increase in demand of Indian languages on internet. Rs 2020 local languages would have Rs 1000 crore advertisement. The user of Hindi is way ahead of English users and Google is trying to attain growth in Hindi content.
There are few challenges in the field of internet like lack of content, awareness and infrastructure. In India 30 crore users are using internet through smart phone and these are new users, she added.
Google would launch webmaster central blog in Hindi the month of July to support website administrators, publishers and bloggers working in Hindi, said webmaster outreach specialist Google Syed Malik Mairaj.
