During investigation of the dacoity incident that was reported in Bairagarh locality on Thursday, the police suspected involvement of an inter-State gang in the daocity. The circumstantial evidences also suggests the similar line of investigation, said Superintendent of Police (Bhopal North) Arvind Saxena.

Saxena said that the initial investigation conducted so far, indicated that it was an interstate gang that moves across the country and commits crime. Its movement across the country provides a shield but there are clues which have been found at the spot and that could help in tracking the miscreants.

Replying to a query that some belonging of the dacoits has been recovered from the spot, Saxena said that few things have been found and based on these evidences, investigation would be conducted, but to reveal things at the moment is not possible.

Police teams have been formed and police of other states and districts would be contacted and crimes of same nature and pattern would be shared and details of such cases would be sought.

Notably, in the wee hours on Thursday around half a dozen dacoits had barged into the Naresh Chotrani’s house in Bairagarh and managed to escape with `1 lakh in cash and gold ornaments worth `2 lakh.

With the prompt action taken by Naresh’s 21-year-old daughter Ruchika, the miscreants could not take anything more and they were forced to leave the place.
