The installation of prefectorial team of Jawaharlal Nehru School was held on Friday. The Chief Guest on this solemn occasion was M Halder general manager (feeders) BHEl and president, BSM. SB Singh additional general manager (TAD), BHEl & vice-president, BSM was the guest of honour.
SS Gupta Additional General Manager (Finance) BHEl and Treasurer, BSM and TU Singh Senior Deputy General Manager (STM) BHEl Secretary, BSM were the Special Guests. Other prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were Kalpana Thorat Senior DGM, Medicine, BHEl & Join Secretary BSM and the Principals and Vice Principals of BSM schools and Kasturba College of Nursing. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp invoking God’s blessings.
The Chief Guest administered the oath of office to the prefectorial team. Param Kumar Chouhan took the oath to serve as the school captain. Tejasvi Nepalli and Kartik Shrivastava took the oath as School Vice Captains. Saransh Tiwari, Saket Sharma, Kriti Shah and Master Vidit Vishesh Mishra were installed as House captains of Vidyut, Vijayant, Vikrant and Vishal Houses respectively.
In his address to the gathering, the Chief Guest M Halder appreciated the criteria of the selection of prefects and congratulated the Principal and the staff for exploring the hidden talents and bringing them to the limelight. He also blessed the newly appointed office bearers and exhorted the importance of hardwork, allegiance and sacrifice in a student’s life to wade through the odds of life.
Earlier, Principal Shraddha Muzumdar formally welcomed the Guests and acquainted the gathering the procedure to select the appointment holders. She advised the students to uphold the values of the school and to enforce discipline and promote general welfare of the school.
Vice Principals of the School Ragini Shrivastava and N Chandrashekhar coordinated the programme. The newly invested School Captain proposed the Vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
