Joint Director of Industries GP Malviya who was wanted in the ‘molestation’ case was suspended by the Directorate of Industries on Monday. Notably, on September 7 a case of molestation was registered against GP Malviya in the MP Nagar police station.
The victim who came to Bhopal preparing for CA entrance exam went to meet Malviya with her relative. In the office the accused started teasing her but the relative who went with her was not aware about the teasing. later, when the accused and victim went to drop victim’s relative and was on their way to drop the victim Malviya molested the victim in the car near Board Office Square, told the police.
The reason of the visit was to seek help from accused in case of any emergency for the victim.Victim went to the MP Nagar police to lodge a complaint against the accused.
After the police registered a case under section 354 of the IPC, the accused went missing.Complaint was lodged on Saturday and the next two days Sunday and Monday were holidays in which the police were not able to contact the accused which provided him enough time to escape and he went absconding.
During the investigation he was searched but the police was not able to trace his whereabouts.Failure to nab the accused forced the police to declare a reward for providing the information of the hideouts of the absconding accused.On Saturday a cash reward of Rs 5000 was declared on the absconding accused. Malviya is still absconding.
