'Implement child protection law strictly'

PNS

The child protection law should be implemented in such a way that one should think twice before committing crime against these innocent children. It is possible only with the united efforts of the people and social organisations.

This was stated by Gwalior Collector Sanjay Goyal on the function of State level Child Protection Resource Pool third phase which was running at Tansen Residency for past three days. At Bhopal earlier this training programme was conducted twice.

This training programme was organised with the joint efforts of UNICEF, State Administration Women and Child Development Department and Tata Institute of Social Science Mumbai. In this workshop different district Child Protection Units Representatives, Self Service Organisations, concern departments officers are taking the training.

While inaugurating the Training workshop Gwalior Collector Goyal said that in Gwalior especially for girls safety we have taken measure steps. To bring the more awareness for the girls we have generated the

atmosphere through Wall Painting, Public Awareness Programme, etc.

“Along with this we are in process of implementing PNDT Act and we have strongly opposed for those posters and banners which are indicated for the son birth. It is totally prohibited in Ultra Sound Centres and Nursing homes,” he said, adding that that we can calculate the crime through registration but our prime concern is that what about those crime which never got registered. It happens only when it is considered that graph of crime is increasing day by day. Gwalior Collector Goyal said that it is appreciable that in comparison to other states that in Madhya Pradesh state crime was registered easily in Police stations.
