If Cong wins, EVM is good, when it loses, it becomes faulty: BJP

Staff Reporter

State president of BJP and MP Vishnudutt Sharma said that whenever Congress wins, EVM is good and if it loses it becomes faulty.

While interacting with media persons in Rewa on Thursday he said the kind of victory that BJP acheived in municipal elections of Gujarat has rattled Digvijay Singh who  has again started harping the same string on using ballot paper for civic body elections in the state.

The truth is that the Congress has already started being afraid of defeat. In Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, when the Congress wins the election and the Congress government is formed, the EVM becomes good. But when they start losing, the Congress people start blaming faulty  EVMs to find an excuse and keep themselves in the focus.

He said that we have won all the municipal corporations in the Gujarat Municipal Corporation elections as well as 84 percent seats have been won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is a record. In the last municipal elections in Gujarat, Congress had won 30 percent seats, but this time it has reached 10 percent.

Public will prepare election manifesto as it will be prepared by public opinion, not by the BJP, but by the thoughts of the people. Taking feedback from the public, what Rewa's enlightened people want for development will be included in the party's manifesto. He said that the party's manifesto for all urban bodies will be of public.

He said that the Prime Minister also says that our booth worker is the most important and it is not just for saying. Our effort is to go to the booth president's house and talk to him.
