Husband of a 35-year-old married woman who allegedly set her ablaze at Nariyalkheda in the night on Monday remained absconding; Gautam Nagar police intensified search for the accused.
According to the police, after having a fight with the victim Shabhan Khan over visiting her parents her husband Sameer set her ablaze. She sustained severe burn injuries. After she engulfed in flames, children of the victim raised alert and her neighbors and family rushed her to a nearby hospital where her condition remained critical.
During the treatment doctors informed that the victim had sustained severe burns. Based on the statements of the victim after preliminary investigation, the police registered a case under section 307 of the IPC.
The victim was married in Rajasthan and had three children from first marriage and after divorce settled with Sameer in Bhopal along with her children.
In the night on Monday during a fight with Sameer over visiting her parents Sameer set her ablaze and when her children woke up they alerted neighbours and parents of victim.
Based on the investigation after preliminary investigation police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and started search for the accused who remained absconding after the incident.
Meanwhile, miscreants involved in robbery of Ola cab near 11 Mill remained absconding; six teams are searching for the accused who robbed car and used stolen bike to commit robbery. The victim was robbed of her car attached with Ola cab service in the early morning hours on August 30.
