House of professor was targeted by miscreants and valuables worth Rs 12 lakh were burgled from Shivlok Green colony under Piplani police station area on Tuesday. Police said that the victim SL Parihar was asleep and when he woke up in the morning on Wednesday the valuables were found burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim in which the victim stated that he and his family were asleep and in the morning on Thursday he found that the valuables were burgled. After having food the family members went to sleep and they failed to find any sound during the burglary.
The window grill was broken to enter house and escape with the valuables, said police.
The police said that colony is a covered campus and vigil round the clock. The CCTV cameras of the locality will be checked in the investigation. The neighbours have expressed ignorance over the burglary.
In the incident, more than 20 gms of gold jewellery and other valuables were burgled.
