Featuring the beautiful and enchanting handloom materials from across the State the handloom and handicraft exhibition 'Hunar Mela' is one-stop for the shopaholics.
The exhibition cum sale is all about handicraft and handloom stuff put up by as many as 40 self help groups from across the country.
Set in the rustic backdrop of Gauhar Mahal, the exhibition cum sale features the most adorable handloom stuff. As the name suggessts the vendors have showcased their creativity at the Hunar Mela.
Other than the most renowned dress materials of the State including Chanderi and Maheshwari, one can have a look at the huge collection of handloom materials made up of jute, paper-mache and much more.
Besides, ladies’ stuff it’s a major part of this exotic shopping fair. As women love to buy stuff for their houses there is a huge collection of decorative items but, imitation jewelleries captivated much crowd of the youngsters. The mela also shares a major collection of rugs and cotton duppattas that enthralled the ladies. The stalls of household decoration are captivating a big crowd at the spot. Dress materials embedded with zari zardozi, lucknowi chicken, mulberry silk and more was explored at the mela. A wonderful collection designed in different patterns and prints is attracting people. There are printed materials beautifully embroidered with Batik Print, Dabu Print, Hand-Block Print and one of the most renowned and loved in all seasons, Bagh Print there.
A variety of decorative items like rugs, carpets, imitation jewellery, dress materials, ladies hand-bags, metal crafts, bamboo showpieces and sculptures of metal are also on display.
