Gwalior lacks facilities to check spreading Swine flu

PNS

Health department has failed to control diseases like dengue, chikungunya and other seasonal diseases. At present, the number of the patients of the Swine flu is rising in the city.

Health department has made no proper arrangements in order to prevent these viral diseases.

It is difficult to understand as how the health department will save the patients from Swine flu, which is a fatal disease and any other seasonal diseases.

The only doctor of the Deen Dayal Nagar dispensary was shifted to district hospital by the officials. Other compounders and nurses of the dispensary are treating the patients as there are no doctors at the Deen Dayal Nagar dispensary.

Therefore, the patients of the area are being deprived of the proper treatment.

The dispensary situated near the Goal Ka Mandir has been shifted to the Deen Dayal Nagar by the then Health Minister Anoop Mishra in the year 2009.

Dr Hemraj Chouhan had remained absent for a long period without any prior information.

Hence, Civil Surgeon Dr DD Sharma had appointed Dr Vinod Botham to the Deendayal Nagar dispensary.

There are two compounders, four ANM, Two MPW, one each ward boy and an office assistant in the dispensary. One of the compounder has been attached to the Hazira Hospital. Deendayal Nagar dispensary’s Dr Botham performs the night duty at the District hospital hence he always remains unavailable in the dispensary.

State Government has clearly instructed that the doctors of the dispensaries should not be shifted to perform his duty in other hospitals. On the contrary, Civil Surgeon Dr DD Sharma has shifted Dr Botham to the district hospital without appointing any other doctor in the dispensary. Dr Sharma has said that in the absence of the Doctor, Compounder can attend the patients as well he can also provide treatment to the patients.
