Addressing a meeting of the governing body of BR Ambedkar National University of Social Sciences, Mhow on Wednesday Governor Om Prakash Kohli said that this university is moving fast towards success in its objectives. Awareness towards social upliftment and education has been created among women, SC/ST, Backward Class through educational activities and awareness campaign of the university.
He advised the members at the meeting of the University governing body that they should tour other States and backward areas and make efforts to help other States avail the benefits of the university programme so that scheduled case, scheduled tribe, backward class and women are also able to avail benefits of the works undertaken by the university.
Members of the governing body including Principal Secretary to Governor M Mohan Rao, Principal Secretary Higher Education Ashish Upadhyay, Finance Secretary Aniruddh Mukherji, University Chancellor RS Kureel, Chairman of Indian Council of Social Science Research BB Kumar, Professor Nayak and Professor DK Verma, Registrar B Bharti etc were present.
Kohli expressed hope that the university will work for the upliftment of people in not only the state but also other backward areas of the country. The Governor said that the university is pushing the work of skill development of Madhya Pradesh Employment and Training Council and PMKY Yojana so that people get employment opportunities.
University Chancellor RS Kureel presented the progress report of the university.
