Governor Ram Naresh Yadav on Monday strongly condemned the serial blasts that took place in the Mahabodhi temple complex in Bihar on Sunday morning. The Governor also expressed profound grief over the loss of many innocent lives in the dastardly attack and wished early recovery to the injured.

Yadav also directed Madhya Pradesh police administration to be alert and ensure tight and foolproof security arrangements. Yadav said that tight and strict security arrangements should be made especially at election meetings and further directed to ensure security of candidates of all political parties in Naxal-affected and other sensitive areas and remain alert vis-à-vis law and order.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta described the serial blasts in Patna as a major security lapse and called for a thorough probe into the incident. While talking to media persons here on Monday, Gupta said, “The incident indicates lapse in security of prominent persons.”

Replying to a query, he said investigation would be carried out whether six activists of Students Islamic Movement of India’s (SIMI) who recently fled from the State’s Khandwa prison had any hand in the blasts. Gupta said the police administration would make tight security arrangements in election meetings of senior political leaders and would make efforts that such incidents do not occur in Madhya Pradesh.

Election meetings of various senior political leaders are being organised in Madhya Pradesh in view of November 25assembly polls. Tight security arrangements are being made in view of these meetings.
