The State Government has decided to observe the first Tuesday of every month as Revenue Day. This decision has been taken with the aim of completing the work related to Revenue Department within the time limit and to provide facilities to the citizens on time.
Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta has informed that efforts will be made to resolve the issues pending for more than one year in all the revenue courts in the state by preparing a list and resolving them with mutual consent. If the cases are not able to be resolved through mutual consent, in such circumstances instructions have been given to decide a date within 10 days and settle the case on the basis of merit and demerits.
Its aim is to ensure the settlement of all cases pending for more than one year. Pending cases of mutation, division and demarcation will be reviewed on the Revenue Day. In cases, which require site inspection necessarily, inspection will be conducted as early as possible by deciding the date. A brief report of each case pending since more than a month will be taken on the Revenue Day. Revenue cases of prompt redressal like entry of orders on the portal, giving of copies of Khasra/map/revenue cases, giving of loan book, making of certificates etc. should be redressed on the Revenue Day.
The implementation of the orders passed in the revenue cases last month will be reviewed by the returning officers.
On every Revenue Day, all the returning officers will take individual hearings of five cases of CM Helpline falling under their jurisdiction in which the applicant has registered dissatisfaction. Collectors have been directed to keep all the Returning Officers and Subordinate Revenue team free from all other work on Revenue Day. All the Revenue Inspectors and Patwari Basta will be present at Tehsil headquarters on the Revenue Day.
