Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta laid foundation stone of a cement-concrete road at Harshwardhan Nagar in Ward 28 here on Saturday. Gupta has sanctioned Rs 2.79 lakh from his MlA’s Fund for construction of the road.
Home Minister Gupta said that the State Government is committed to welfare of the poor. He said that no negligence will be tolerated in providing basic facilities to people. Gupta informed that the poor are getting wheat and iodised salt at Re 1 per kg and rice at Rs 2 per kg since June 1. He also apprised residents of schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanyadan, ladli laxmi and Mukhyamantri Tirth-Darshan Yojna.
