Govindpura police have nabbed four miscreants including a minor who were involved in robbery of mobile phone on November 6 near Chetak Bridge; robbed mobile phone and motorbike used in the robbery was recovered from their possession.
Police said that the accused were nabbed during the investigation. Acting on tip off and using technology to trace the robbed mobile phone one of the accused was nabbed.
The nabbed accused was identified as Anas and when he was quizzed he confessed that the Danish Khan has facilitated purchase of the mobile phone. Based on the information Danish Khan was tracked from Bhanpur.
After the arrest when Danish was grilled he told the police that Aman Khan of Imami Gate has sold him the mobile phone.
Later Aman Khan and his aide were nabbed. In the investigation police found that Aman’s aide is minor and was detained by the police.
The four were nabbed by the police and started further investigation. The motorbike bearing registration number AP-QL1168 Hero Honda Splendor which was used in the crime was recovered by the police.
During the investigation based on the statements of the nabbed accused, a separate case under sections 411 and 412 of the IPC has been registered against Anas and Danis for using robbed mobile phones. The miscreants would reveal more crimes in the further investigation.
Notably, on November 6 the victim Aditya Singh was robbed of his mobile phone by bike borne miscreants. The victim approached Govindpura police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint case under section 392 of the IPC was registered.
